Department of Geology


Principal

Department of Geology was established in the year 1981, UGC has sanctioned P.G. Diploma in seismic studies, Geotechnology & Disaster Management under Innovative Programme. Over 25 years, the department has made rapid strides in teaching, research and outreach activities. The major areas of research in the department include Hydrogeology, Petrochemistry, Quatemary sediments, Fluid inclusion & Mineralogy. The teaching faculty have earned academic distinction and also received research grants from several funding agencies. The faculty is actively associated for research with GSI WIHG, ONGC, IIT and some university departments.
